This studio was by far one of my favorite projects I have worked on yet! Very few times does a designed get full reign of power when it comes to design of a home let alone a buisness! But that is exactly what the wonderful women of "Jem Photography" did...they let me loose to design their studio and office space anyway I wanted....so I did!
First the color pallet of Pale pink, peacock blue and grey was what came to mind for a buisness owned and run by all women. The studio remained a neutral cream color but the office became pink on pink stripes and the bathroom, french door, and backs of the bookcases became a wonderful pale peacock blue color. The new velvet tufted sofa is a beautiful light grey color and with the addition of some plum and red accents pieces, I say the color pallet was a big success!
Then it was just a matter of adding a few key pieces to finish off the space like a natural Jute rug, over-sized baskets, shelves, book cases, and lighting. We got things up off the floor and into their own organized space. The office became a very feminine pale pink shade, with tone on tone stripes to add some interest to the space. Along with floor length curtains, a vibrant rug, shelves for organizing everyday supplies and their very own coffee station, now the ladies cant wait to get to work every day!
And we did it all in one whirlwind of a weekend. (along with some prep work done before I got there...) but so worth it! Thank you again "Jem Photography" for the opportunity to be creative with your space! A weekend I will never forget.
